Assistant Professor of French – Contemporary French or Francophone Cultures (USA) The Department of French and Italian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a tenure-track position in the teaching of contemporary French or francophone cultures, starting August 26, 2013. ( http://www.ohr.wisc.edu/pvl/pv_074841.html )Ph.D. required prior to start of appointment. Participation in undergraduate curricular design, and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level will be included in the position. Additional specialization in other historical periods of French literature, in SLA or an equivalent field will be considered. Interest in digital humanities will also be considered. Candidates should have native or near-native fluency in French, demonstrated scholarly promise and proven commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants should be proficient in developing electronic media for culture and literature courses. Teaching experience preferred with use of electronic media.
