The Department of French and Francophone Studies at The Pennsylvania State University seeks a specialist at the assistant professor level in one or more contemporary literatures of the francophone world. We are especially (but not exclusively) interested in theoretical issues related to identity, transnationalism, material culture, film, and performance studies. Candidates must have a strong research record and agenda, successful teaching experience at all levels, and native or near-native language competency in both French and English. Start date is August 2014 and the teaching load is two courses per semester.
