Assistant Professor of French LiteratureNew York University,Department of FrenchThe Department of French at New York University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Early-Modern French Literature, beginning September 1, 2014, pending administrative and budgetary approval.Preferred candidates will have a record of, or demonstrated potential for, distinguished scholarly research as well as a record of excellence in teaching.They will also have a strong background in literary history, critical theory, and a marked interest for cross-national and interdisciplinary inquiries. PhD in hand, professional-level proficiency in French and English are required. Teaching load is 2/2.
